Yuri began painting professionally in 2000 and opened his first painting company in Vancouver in 2012. After moving to Florida, he brought that experience to Sarasota, where Fresh Look Painting has served homeowners and businesses since 2022.

OUR HISTORY

Hello, my name is Yuri Kulik

In 1997, my family immigrated from Ukraine to the United States in search of a
better life. By God’s grace, we found it here in the best country in the world, full
of opportunities—Hallelujah!

My passion for painting began when I was a teenager. I painted a few bedrooms
in our home and was amazed at how a fresh coat of paint could transform a
room. The clean walls and new colors didn’t just change the look of the space—
they also changed how I felt in it. I knew then that painting was something
exciting that I could do every day.

While attending Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Washington, I enrolled in a painting program at the Skill Center. There, I gained basic painting knowledge and hands-on experience that laid the foundation for my career.

After graduating high school, I worked as a painter for a union restoration company. As part of my role, I joined an apprenticeship school, where I spent three years learning advanced techniques in the painting industry.

During my time with the restoration company, I mastered skills such as drywall repair, texturing, wallpaper installation, staining, clear coat application, cabinet painting, and more. By 2012, with years of experience and a strong desire to provide professional painting services to my community, I decided to start my own business—Fresh Look Painting.

From the beginning, my goal was to deliver exceptional results using only the best products I had tested and trusted. Whether it was interior painting, exterior painting, or cabinet refinishing, I knew that offering quality craftsmanship and durable solutions would set us apart. In my first year, word spread quickly, and calls from satisfied customers kept coming. As demand grew, I started building a team, hiring and training helpers to meet our community’s needs.
